Webinar: Diamond Open Access and the rights of academic authors in the AI era (in Polish)
Join our webinar and a discussion on Diamond Open Access to academic publications and authors' rights in the context of AI. We wish to create a space for exchanging experiences and knowledge among academic authors, researchers, and academic librarians.
The world of Open Science faces major challenges today. On the one hand, we strive to make knowledge accessible to everyone, without financial barriers – here, the Diamond Open Access model enters the stage. On the other hand, the rapid development of artificial intelligence raises legitimate concerns among academic authors regarding how their work is being used by the producers of AI models. The digital transformation of academia should not only harness the vast array of new possibilities but should, above all, be ethical and based on informed choices.
Join us for this year’s final webinar organized with the support of the Knowledge Rights 21 initiative, during which, together with experts from the University of Opole and the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBL PAN), we will explain how to publish under the Diamond Open Access model, which is free for both the reader and the author, ensuring equal access to knowledge. We will also discuss what to pay attention to in publishing contracts to protect your rights in the context of training artificial intelligence models.
